Nissan 2017 GT-R

Nissan set to Release the Revamped 2017 GT-R

As of the 26th of July 2016, the brilliant new 2017 Nissan GT-R will be on sale at Nissan dealers throughout Japan. First unveiled back in April, the new GT-R is a breathtaking car which has been given a makeover both inside and out. It also has been given a driving performance enhancement and boasts several new features.

A New Makeover

The first Nissan GT-R was unveiled in 2007, but the sports car has undergone several transformations in this time and developed quite the following as the ultimate Grand Tourer. The 2017 model upgrade boasts a revamped exterior, including a chrome matte finish “V-Motion” grille, plus a new reinforced hood which flows from the grille for more stability during high-speed driving. The GT-R also features a newly designed spoiler lip and front bumpers, giving it a pure-bred race car look and feel.

Inside, the dashboard has been simplified and an 8-inch touch-panel monitor introduced for easy operation. The shift paddles are mounted onto the steering wheel; this allows the user to change gear without having to take their hands off the wheel. Also new for the 2017 GT-R is a number of fresh colour options for both inside and out to personalise the vehicle.

Performance Upgrade

Performance wise, the GT-R has improved on its already legendary handling with a more rigid body structure and new suspension. Power from the twin-turbo V6 now delivers 419 KW at 6,800 rpm and 637 Nm of torque at 3,300-5,800 rpm. The improved handling and superior acceleration ensure that this is an incredible drive, but it is also very comfortable despite the enhancements. New sound absorption materials help to keep the sound down in the cabin, plus the redesigned dashboard creates an elegance that is hard to find in other high-performance cars.

Get Behind the Wheel

For fans of the Nissan GT-R, this is a thrilling upgrade and much improved on an already very popular car thanks to the new features, makeover and performance improvements. For those unfamiliar with any of the previous GT-R’s, now is the time to get behind the wheel of one and you are sure to be amazed at how the car both looks and feels.

Nissan has a fantastic history creating sports cars, with 2007’s original GT-R being the successor to the very popular Nissan Skyline GT-R. The GT-R has come on leaps and bounds since then, with the 2017 version building on its previous success whilst also breathing new life into the range.
